St. Ita's ran two dedicated first-aid training sessions for coaches today, aimed at making sure players, supporters and other coaches have access to immediate first aid. Twenty five coaches in all took part in the training, with representatives from most youth and senior teams.

The training, funded by the club's 2022 Welfare Sponsor, Progressive Credit Union, focused particularly on CPR and the use of defibrillators, though also covered the treatment of a range of soccer-relevant injuries, such as fractures and concussion. The training was provided by first-aid specialist, Derek Rooney.

The club maintains two defibrillators, one in Ballymastone and the other in the hospital grounds. Both have recently been serviced, which included the purchase of new pads for both adults and juveniles, again funded by Progressive Credit Union.
